WOHM 3.5cc GLOW MK1

This engine was my first attempt at designing and building a 3.5cc glow Front Rotary Induction engine. The crankcase is all machined from solid on manual machines and while I did make most of the engine from scratch I did abscond with an old Enya 19 needle valve assembly. The engine features a lap seal piston and liner with Cox style porting, 2 exhaust ports out the side with 2 transfer ports fore and aft. The crankshaft is machined from solid round bar (4140 steel) and is supported on two ball races (12x21x5 at the rear, 10x19x5 at the front)

The main criticism that I personally have of this engine is it is definitely over weight although the performance is more than adequate to fly a simple control line model.
